Year One

We started. We bought 2500 tea seeds (Korea, Small Leaf, and Sochi) and in mid-December, started the germination process with the intention of planting in late spring, early summer of 2026. We researched, benchmarked, soul searched on the best way to start our seeds…and settled on starting each seed individually in containerized flats with humidity domes. Now…comes the wait. It will take weeks to months for the germination process to occur, first cracking the seeds outer shell and then sending a root down into the soil creating the plants foundational structure (the tap root).

Check back for updated photos as the seeds start to germinate!

Gathering Supplies…containers for the seeds, soil and racks.

Assembling the containers and racks and prepping the seeds for germination.

…and now we wait!
